This area of Rome was given as a gift by Pope Paul V to his nephew Scipione (along with the useful title of "Cardinale"). No doubt that this was quite a nice gift and this probably where the word "nepotism" came from.

This park is open from sunrise to sunset. Here you can have a picnic, hire rolleblades, bycicles and even hire a boat at the artificial lake.

If you are tired of Roman traffic you can find some peace in the quite avenues of this beautiful park.
